The Liminal Soundtrack – Music for Film, Dance, & Theater Composition and Consultancy.

The Liminal Soundtrack is organic and/or synthetic music for your film, dance, or theatrical performance. Allow Dawoud to leverage his expertise in composition, improvisation, electronic, orchestral, and hybrid-instrumentation to fuse acoustic, electronic, and non-Western music. 
Dawoud helps filmmakers, dance companies, and theater directors develop a unique and irreplaceable sonic identity that resonates with the mood and message of your project. ​​

Service 4.
"Mythic Soundscapes: An Improvised Odyssey." 

Clients can commission a 45-120 minute private live performance or exclusive 5 to 10 minute instrumental recording of music of an exclusive "Musical Novel" or "Custom Tone Poem."  This performance/recording of improvised music improvisation will be based on and inspired by a personal story, dream, or mythic archetype provided by the client (e.g., "The Pirate Moon Colony," "Jazz from Arrakis," "Rumi's Shisha Bar," "The Mystic Poet’s Lament," "The Electric Phoenix" or whatever the client’s imagination can conjure).

Combines Dautar, electronics, optional instruments/musicians, and optional spoken-word interludes.

At the beginning of the project, I will interview you to extract thematic motifs, then compose and record a work for Dautar, with electronic and/or acoustic/electric instruments, accompanied by a folio of liner notes and original visual art.

Unveil your Sound’s Secrets. Map your hidden aptitudes and forge a personal lexicon of techniques—part your instrument, part your DNA, and part hidden recesses of your soul.

Diagnosing your creative blind spots (Why do you sound like everyone else?).

The Music Meditation Sessions

​

The Music Meditation Sessions are guided meditations where suggested imagery is replaced by improvised psychoactive music. 
In the early 2000s, Dawoud developed the Music Meditation Sessions after discovering hidden power encoded in the primordial essence of music and sound. When Dawoud was developing the Music Meditation Sessions, he concurrently developed (or perhaps “found” is a better term) a deeper level of improvised psychoactive music. 
The Music Meditation Sessions are a sonic and aural adventure for those willing to take a step beyond sound meditation. Participants reported a wide variety of experiences. Many experienced relaxation and deep meditative states. Some recovered lost or repressed memories. Some have described more intense experiences with visions, astral travel, and out-of-body experiences.
